Request Records

The Maine Freedom of Access Act is a law intended to open the government to all citizens by guaranteeing access to government records in whatever form they are maintained. Like any law of this nature, this Act strikes a balance between access and privacy interests. We will acknowledge your request within 5 days and provide an estimated date of completion.

Please note, if the request requires coordination with outside contractors, research or are unusually large, the County will need additional time to complete the request and there may be a fee involved.

Requests may be in person or electronic or in writing.

For questions regarding FOIA requests, please contact Katharine Cahoon, Public Information Officer, 207/6991900 or email
