Cumberland County Departments
Mission Statement: The mission statement adopted for the County in 1996 is "The County of Cumberland is committed to providing quality services to all Citizens equitably, in a responsive and caring manner."
Cumberland County Government has 13 departments with over 400 full-time employees and an annual budget of more than $35 million. Like county governments across the nation, we are providing traditional county services, such as deeds, probate, sheriff's patrol, the county jail, emergency management, the district attorney's office, and dispatch. Taxpayers are paying on average less than $75 per capita for the services they receive which are assessed through the municipalities.
