Rules & Regulations of the Competition
The logo should celebrate the people of Cumberland County and their occupations and celebrate the landscapes, resources and develop a cohesive connection between its 28 municipalities. The logo design should reflect why we choose to live, work and play in Cumberland County. The Logo should create excitement, interest and awareness of Cumberland County and its history as well as the hopes and dreams of our future.
Who is Eligible?
Children enrolled in K-12, ages 5-18, including home school and private school children are eligible. The student must be a Cumberland County resident or attending a school in Cumberland County.
One winner will be selected from each of the four different grade/age groups and one Grand Prize winner will be selected from the four Grade/Age group winners.

Only one logo can be submitted per person.
Entry Fees:
There are no entry fees for this contest.
Prizes:
Each grade category winner will receive a cash prize of $100. The grand prize winner receives $250 and their logo is used on marketing material for the 250th anniversary.
Artistic/Design Criteria and Considerations
Designs must celebrate the positive elements of Cumberland County, with the goal of becoming artwork for our 250th Anniversary letterhead and other marketing materials. Logo should include the number “250th”, and words “Cumberland County” and “Anniversary”. Use the following questions when creating your original design.

Technical guidelines for entrants:

Submit as a JPEG (.jpg file) with dimensions of 3x4 inches and resolution should be no more than 300PPI(pixels per inch).

Consideration should be given to how logo will look when printed in black and white, gray scale and full color.

Logo artwork must be the student's original work. Submissions can either be hand-drawn and then digitally scanned in at 300PPI (pixels per inch) or digitally created.

All files should be named using the student's last name_first name_grade.jpg. For example, doe_jane_grade3.jpg would be for Jane Doe in the third grade.
Ownership of Logo's Submitted:

All entries become the exclusive property of Cumberland County Government, to be used or modified as needed. The County is not responsible for damage or return of entries.

The logos will have an exclusive license for the 250th celebration and may not be used for other purposes.
